Independent Living (IL) Division

IL services assist youth and young adults ages 15 - 23 in the transition from foster care to self-sufficiency. According to the Foster Care Independence Act of 1999 (Public Law 106-169), the IL program is voluntary for youth and young adults. It offers educational and housing support, employment preparation, financial assistance, and life skills training.
